Splunk Mobile for Android release notes

This version of Splunk Mobile for Android was released on September 22, 2022. This version of Splunk Mobile for Android has the following features and known issues.

What's new

This version of Splunk Mobile for Android is a patch update. It has the following major updates from the previous version:

  • Splunk Mobile now publishes analytics data directly to Splunk Instances (PT & Skynet Search)
  • What's new onboarding slide for scheduled reports
  • Improved the following visualizations:
    • Maps
    • Single value
    • Trellis
  • Removed the Covid-19 public instance
  • Improved performance and analytics collection

Fixed issues

This version of Splunk Mobile for Android has no fixed issues.

Known issues

This version of Splunk Mobile for Android has the following known issue:

Date filed Issue number Description
13 September 2022 MSB-3138 Active users are being logged out after 30 days and there's a limit to the number of registered devices a user could log in with. This affects all Splunk Mobile users. A fix is in progress for Splunk Cloud Platform version 9.0.2211 and Splunk Enterprise version 9.0.3.


Workaround: Navigate to Settings > Tokens and delete all tokens from the cloudgateway audience, and make sure each user has a maximum of 2 registered devices.
