Overview of Splunk IT Essentials Learn

Splunk IT Essentials Learn is a free Splunk app that makes it easier to leverage Splunk Enterprise for IT use cases. The app helps you find specific procedures that fit your environment, learn how they work, deploy them successfully, and measure your success. IT Essentials Learn includes a variety of procedures for IT use cases such as AWS, VMware, Apache, and more.

Splunk IT Essentials Learn helps you get up to speed faster by providing you with useful information at the right time. Each IT procedure contains interactive content with both demo data and live data. The searches include SPL descriptions explaining why they use the search commands they do, and each procedure has context such as how to implement it and help and guidance. For more information about the available procedures, see Investigate procedures in Splunk IT Essentials Learn.

As you continue to learn and deploy procedures, the My Progress page lets you view and track your progress towards IT maturity by visualizing the procedures you've successfully deployed. For more information about the visualizations available to view your progress, see Track your progress in Splunk IT Essentials Learn.
