About this release

Version 2.0.8 of Splunk Connect for Kafka is compatible with the following software and platforms:

Splunk platform versions 7.1 and later
Platforms Platform independent
Vendor products Kafka Connect

New features

Version 2.0.8 of Splunk Connect for Kafka contains the following new features:

  • Updated jackson-databind version from 2.10.5.1 to 2.12.6.1
  • Added kerberos authentication support

Fixed issues

Version 2.0.8 of Splunk Connect for Kafka has the following fixed issues:

  • Handled null custom header values.
  • Fixed special character problem in the line-breaker rule.
