The Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange version 4.0.4 was released on October 12, 2021.

What's new

The Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange version 4.0.4 now supports the Splunk Add-on for Windows version 8.1.2

The Splunk App for Microsoft Exchange is now updated to use jQuery v3.5.0. The App will use the jQuery v3.5 in the Splunk version 8.2 or higher. This makes the App more secure by fixing known cross-site scripting (XSS) and object prototype pollution related vulnerabilities.
