Known Issues

This version of the Splunk ODBC Driver has the following known issues:

Publication date Issue number Description
2014-10-28 DVPL-1743 Only limited SQL-to-Search Processing Language (SPL) translation capability.
2014-10-28 DVPL-2120 Using multiple or joined tables is not supported
2014-10-28 DVPL-2957 Reports (saved searches in Splunk Enterprise 5) returning data from the _internal index with a Tableau extract will cause Tableau to fail with the error message "...wrong number of bindings for input columns."
2017-07-17 DVPL-7220 After upgrading to ODBC driver 2.1.1, the driver does not connect to Tableau and Excel via load balancer, causing searches to fail with error (60) "Unexpected response from server".
2019-05-15 SPL-165848 ODBC driver error: " [Splunk ODBC] (40) Error with HTTP API, error code: Failed writing received data to disk/application" when importing the Splunk search records into MS Excel.
