Configure GUI Timeout

By default the inactivity period for all user sessions is 1 hour. This setting is controlled in your $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/bundles/local/web.conf. If the file does not exist you will need to create it. You will need to add the line

twistedLoginTimeout = <new value>

to the file. The value needs to be specified in seconds.

This documentation applies to the following versions of Splunk: 3.0 , 3.0.1 , 3.0.2 , 3.1 , 3.1.1 , 3.1.2 , 3.1.3 , 3.1.4 View the Article History for its revisions.
