Exclude specific Splunk servers from distributed searches

To exclude certain Splunk servers from distributed searches (also referred to as blacklisting), add a comma-delimited list of servers to distsearch.conf. Add IP addresses or fully-qualified domain names in your stanza: 


blacklistNames = the-others,them
blacklistURLs = 192.168.1.3:8059,192.168.1.4:8059
