Who is this manual for?

This manual contains information and procedures for the Splunk knowledge manager. You are a knowledge manager if you are a Splunk power user who needs to maintain and expand Splunk data and knowledge for yourself and the other users at your enterprise.

If you create saved searches for other people to use, define transactions, add custom fields, manage and create tags, or tweak the indexing settings to better process your data, this manual is for you.
