Critical vulnerability resolved in this release
In addition to the items listed below, this release contains a fix to resolve a significant security issue described in detail on this page in the Splunk security portal. Splunk strongly recommends you install this critical upgrade.
Resolved issues
The following issues have been resolved in this release:
- Crash in TcpSendThread. (SPL-30826)
- Summary indexing server crash. (SPL-30696)
- Reporting searches that run over a large number of events consume a lot more disk space than is necessary. (SPL-30679)
- The sort command returns 0 events in scheduled searches. (SPL-30676)
- When Splunk is configured to search across 20 indexers, a single unresponsive indexer will seriously degrade performance of the search head. (SPL-30533)
- WinEventLogInputProcessor crashing with
Access violation, cannot execute at address [0x000007FF7DCBFF70]. (SPL-30038)
