Eat WebSphere® Application Server logs
Splunk has released a Splunk for WebSphere Application Server app. This app eats logs, JVM metrics, and SML server configuration files for WebSphere Application Server. It also provides a number of views and dashboards to help give you insight into your WebSphere deployment. The sourcetypes and field extractions provided by the app are also compatible with other WebSphere products such as WebSphere Portal or WebSphere Commerce.
If you are already using Splunk, you can download the app from Splunkbase at http://www.splunkbase.com/apps/All/4.x/app:Splunk+for+WebSphere+Application+Server.
If you are new to Splunk, you can download a combined installer for Splunk and the Splunk for WebSphere Application Server app at http://www.splunk.com/download/packages/websphere.
We encourage you to modify the dashboards and searches in the app to customize them for your environment. We are also interested in suggestions for improvements to this app and/or how to generalize this app for other application servers.
