Restart Splunk

Restart Splunk

Once your inputs are set up, you can restart.

1. Go to Manager.

2. Select Server Controls.

3. Click Restart.

The restart may take longer than usual, because Splunk will index any data it finds already residing in the directories you are monitoring. If you only want to index new data, you can check Follow tail in the Advanced options section when you upload the inputs.
