Display and organize dashboards using Splunk TV

You can display and organize dashboards on an Apple TV using the Splunk TV app. Favorite dashboards to easily access them from the homepage. You can also focus on panels and display panels in a slideshow view.

Prerequisites

Display a dashboard

  1. Swipe left access the menu bar.
  2. Select Home or Dashboards. Or, Select Search to search for a dashboard.
  3. Select a dashboard to view it.

Focus on a panel

You can focus on and swipe through panels in a dashboard.

  1. Select a dashboard.
  2. Select a panel you want to focus on.
    You can swipe through panels on your remote.

Favorite a dashboard

Favorite dashboards to easily access them from the homepage.

  1. Select a dashboard to view it.
  2. Select the star in the top right corner to favorite the dashboard.
    The dashboard appears under Favorites on the home page.

Favorite dashboards are saved to the server per user. When you unregister a TV, dashboards that you favorited on that TV persist on other TVs that you registered.

Select a form input

Swipe and select a form input for a dashboard. To select a panel-level form input, first select the panel to view it in full screen.

Display panels in slideshow mode

Display dashboards in a slideshow to cycle through panels.

  1. Select a dashboard.
  2. Select a panel.
  3. Press the play button on your remote.

Each panel shows for 30 seconds by default. You can also swipe, play, and pause.

Swipe through a slideshow

While a dashboard group slideshow is playing, use the remote to swipe between dashboards.

Change the slideshow speed

  1. Swipe left to navigate to Settings in the left menu.
  2. Under Slideshow Speed, select the number of seconds you want each panel to show for in a slideshow.
