Upgrade to a new release

Upgrade to 2.0 from an earlier release

If you participated in the preview or beta program, then you must perform a completely new installation of the software.

Splunk for WAS 2.0 now contains configuration tools that greatly simplify the process of constructing your configuration files - the configuration files can be automatically created.

If you need help with the upgrade to 2.0 GA, contact was@splunk.com

Clean up your old Splunk for WAS installation

Splunk for WAS software versions prior to the 2.0 release contain python scripts that we shipped with older releases. As of 2.0 we no longer need the python scripts. We recommend that you manually clean up the /bin folder to remove these scripts.
