This manual contains the installation and configuration tasks for Splunk for WebSphere Application server (WAS). It enables you to get the solution installed and configured in your WebSphere environment. We describe how to get up and running in your Splunk environment by configuring the Solution manually and we also describe how to do this automatically using the Installation tool.
Use the User Manual to help you navigate your data. Look at the the views populated with data from your Splunked WebSphere environment.

We have some up front assumptions about who you are and what you should know before using this Solution. Based on these assumptions, we have listed our requirements for using the Solution.
We cannot stress strongly enough that if you satisfy the requirements up front before you engage with the Solution, and if you follow the deployment plan we have outlined, you'll be headache free when the Solution is installed.
After using the product and reading the documentation you will understand how to install, configure, and deploy Splunk for WebSphere Application Server. You will understand the App and how it relates to Splunk and the other components of the Splunk eco-system.
