A simple type of view in Splunk Web which represents a search. Form searches are customizable and use search macros to help guide users in the creation of specific kinds of searches. The search macros in a form search are often represented by graphical elements, including:

• text-areas which take specific field values or display a default value.
• dropdown lists containing dynamically defined collections of search terms.
• radio buttons which force the choice of particular field values.
• multiple result panels which generate different kinds of charts and reports.
