retention time

noun

Amount of time that Splunk stores the job artifacts from a scheduled search. Results are discarded after this time. The default retention time for a scheduled search is 2 x the period of the scheduled search.

Retention time is configurable on a per-saved-search basis via savedsearches.conf using the dispatch.ttl option.
