Splunk admin requirements
To install and configure the Splunk Add-on for New Relic and to use the custom alert action, you must be member of the admin or sc_admin role, or have the
New Relic setup requirements
The add-on requires API keys to access data from New Relic.
The New Relic APM input requires a REST API key. If you have not generated a REST API key in New Relic, search for "API keys" in the New Relic documentation.
The New Relic Insights input requires an Insights Query API key. If you have not registered an Insights API key in New Relic, see Query Insights event data via API in the New Relic documentation.
Splunk platform requirements
Because this add-on runs on the Splunk platform, all of the system requirements apply for the Splunk software that you use to run this add-on.
