Release notes for the Splunk Add-on for New Relic
Version 2.1.0 of the the Splunk Add-on for New Relic was released on August 24, 2017.
Version 2.1.0 of the Splunk Add-on for New Relic is compatible with the following software, CIM versions, and platforms.

Upgrade from unsupported versions
Version 2.0.0 was the first release of the Splunk Add-on for New Relic that was supported by Splunk. Previous community-supported releases are not supported by Splunk. Before you upgrade the Splunk Add-on for New Relic from version 1.x to 2.x, you must remove all the configuration files, including previously configured inputs, from the
local directory in the earlier, community-supported version. After the upgrade, create new data inputs in the most current version of the add-on.
Version 2.1.0 of the Splunk Add-on for New Relic has the following new features:
- Event types and field aliases for the Splunk ITSI Module for Application Performance Monitoring. See About the Splunk ITSI Module for Application Performance Monitoring for more details.
- The add-on includes a custom alert action to configure alerts based on Splunk searches and send them to New Relic Insights. See Send Splunk alerts to New Relic Insights.
Version 2.1.0 of the Splunk Add-on for New Relic contains the following known issues.
