
Install or upgrade Splunk App for Chargeback
Installation
Splunk Cloud Platform customers
- Install the app on your Splunk Cloud Platform search head cluster (SHC) and if you don't have an SHC, install the app on your default adhoc search head.
- You can use this guide to help you with the process: Install apps on your Splunk Cloud Platform deployment.
- Best way to install the app is using the self-service app installation (SSAI) by simply browsing for more apps by searching for Chargeback then clicking on Install to install it. No restarts are required. (See screenshot.)
If the version of Splunk Cloud Platform you are using is not compatible with SSAI, open a support case and request the App to be installed on your Splunk Cloud Platform stack: https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/5688
Splunk Enterprise Customers
- Install the app on your Splunk Enterprise search head cluster (SHC) and if you don't have an SHC, install the app on your default adhoc search head.
- Install the app by browsing for Chargeback on Splunkbase and installing it from there. No restarts are required. (See screenshot in previous section.)
Upgrade
Splunk Cloud Platform Customers
- Select Apps on your Splunk Cloud Platform instance and then select Manage Apps.
- Search for the App as shown in the screenshot and then select the Update Available hyperlink to update the app to the latest approved version for Splunk Cloud Platform.
Splunk Enterprise Customers
- Select Apps on your Splunk Enterprise instance and then select Manage Apps.
- Search for Chargeback and select the Update Available hyperlink to update the app to the latest approved version for Splunk Enterprise.
