New features for the Splunk Dashboards app (beta)

The Splunk Dashboards app (beta) 0.9.0 has the following new and changed features:

  • You can now drag and drop inputs in the upper portion of your canvas in the visual editor.
  • For time range picker inputs, you can configure the options Title, Token Name, and Default Value in the visual editor.
  • For multiselect and dropdown inputs, you can configure the options Title, and add static label/value pairs.
  • For multiselect and dropdown inputs, a new option, selectFirstResult can be set to true to make a search result the default value. Either use selectFirstResult or Default Value, but not both. This option must be set in the source editor.
  • For multiselect inputs, a new option, clearDefaultOnSelection, when set to true will deselect the set default value when a user makes selections.
  • For text inputs, you can configure the options Title, Token Name, and Default Value in the visual editor.
  • For number inputs, you can configure the options Title, Token Name, Min, Max, Step, and Default Value.
