Explore and configure Hadoop source files in the HDFS Explorer

The HDFS explorer wizard lets you visually explore your Hadoop source files and configure sourcetypes, partitioning, time-stamping, and app context for those files.

The wizard helps you:

  • View your Hadoop directories and drill down to the files you want to see.
  • Add sourcetypes and configure partitioning and time stamping.
  • View event summary information.
  • Add App context and sharing to determine which apps and users can use your source configuration.
  • Modify the source file path to widen or restrict searches.

For more information, see Configure your HDFS source.
