New Features for Splunk IT Essentials Work

Version 4.10.x of Splunk IT Essentials Work introduces the following new features and enhancements.

Entity Integrations

New feature or enhancement Description
Alert severity filter A new alert severity filter is available on the Infrastructure Overview and Entity Health pages.
Group by: Entity Type view is default on Infrastructure Overview page The Infrastructure Overview page now displays grouped by entity type by default.
Filter Splunk dashboards by specifying an entity parameter When adding Splunk dashboards to an entity type, you can now specify entity alias or entity info fields in the Entity parameter field. This allows you to filter your dashboard to only display entity data from that entity type.

Alerts and Episodes

New feature or enhancement Description
Vital Metic Alerts: Filter vital metric alerts by entity dimensions When creating a new vital metric alert for an entity type you can now filter the alert by entity dimensions. Go to Configure vital metric alerts to learn more.
Alerts Review: Filter by entity type, metric name, or entity name You can now filter alerts on the Alerts Review page by entity type, by a specific vital metric, or by an entity name. Go to Overview of Alerts and Episodes to learn more.
Alerts Review: Preserve filters for later use Filters you select are now added to the URL for the Alerts Review page. You can bookmark the URL for the page to preserve a filtered view of your alerts for later use. Go to Preserve_filtered_results_for_later_use for more info.
