Fixed issues in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

Splunk IT Service Intelligence 4.2.0 was released on April 30, 2019. This release includes fixes for the following issues. Issues are listed in all relevant sections, so some issues might appear more than once.

Bulk Import

2019-01-31 ITSI-2337 Entity import might break entity filtering rules, causing all entities to appear as part of all services.

Notable Events

2019-03-19 ITSI-2161 The "Add column" option in the View Settings of Episodes Review does not display custom fields.
2019-02-26 ITSI-2189 Long notable event descriptions are sometimes truncated.
2019-02-19 ITSI-2310 The backfilling system does not handle boundary conditions in a reasonable way. This causes events to be ignored or duplicated.
2019-02-19 ITSI-2396 If multiple episodes are created by the same aggregation policy and you try to close both of them, only one episode is closed and the other remains open.
2019-02-13 ITSI-2458 Disabling an alert action in alert_actions.conf does not remove the option in the Actions menu of Episode Review, but the action breaks in the UI.
2019-01-24 ITSI-2128 Episodes that have been closed can be marked as open when the Rules Engine restarts, so new events are added to them.
2019-01-17 ITSI-2036 The "All Events" tab does not load for an episode created by an aggregation policy that's been deleted.
2019-01-14 ITSI-1910 Notable events fields have no length safeguard and can exceed the default Splunk limits for parsing, causing the events to be unusable.
