Splunk Enterprise API is RESTful
Splunk Enterprise API is RESTful, which means it uses HTTP requests to interact with resources within Splunk Enterprise. You can use the Splunk Enterprise REST API Reference to configure and manage a Splunk Enterprise instance, create and run searches, or create your own applications that interact with a Splunk Enterprise instance.
You can use any language or tool that supports HTTP calls to access the Splunk Enterprise REST API.
