Configure DMC in standalone mode
This topic is a step in the procedure for setting up the distributed management console (DMC) on a standalone Splunk Enterprise instance. See Single-instance DMC setup steps.
To configure:
1. In Splunk Web, navigate to Distributed Management Console > Settings > General Setup.
2. Check that search head, license master, and indexer are listed under Server Roles, and nothing else. If not, click Edit.
3. Click Apply Changes to complete setup.
Next step
To optionally monitor forwarders, see Configure forwarder monitoring.
Or to optionally enable preconfigured platform alerts, see Platform alerts.
