How to earn Karma on Answers

You gain or lose karma on Answers by posting and voting. The following are the current karma rules:

Activity Karma gained (+) or lost (-)
A user accepts your answer +20 points
You accept an answer posted to your question +2 points
A user upvotes your answer, question, or comment +15 points (maximum 200/day)
A user downvotes your answer, question, or comment -5 points
You downvote a user's answer, question, or comment -1 point

Karma rewards

When you first register on Answers, you start with 20 karma points, which is enough to post two questions a day, answer questions, comment, and upvote. As your posts are upvoted, and your answers accepted, you gain karma as described in the previous section. Note that some activities lower your karma (for example, downvoting). If your karma total drops below 3 karma, you won't be able to upvote.

I agree with Ipicbc.
I have written replies following the advice of two different members. But my responses have been held up because of Karma for the past couple of days. This is a technical piece of software that my employer has purchased, and that I administer. I need answers to important questions.
Thanks and God bless,
Genesius

It seems to me that this system treats the whole thing like a game. For me it's real - I have serious work to do for my employer building this system, and I need to post questions and hopefully get the help of the community as I get up to speed with Splunk. Without the community there is nothing. I really don't like that my posts won't get seen by anyone and I won't get answers, simply because I don't have enough imaginary points in Splunk-world.

Several things are incorrect (based on my 20K Karma status), including:

This page does not list the 10K-point privilege that is listed here:

The 2 pages should be reconciled to agree.
