Splunk Add-on for Oracle Database

Installation and configuration overview for the Splunk Add-on for Oracle Database

Complete the following steps to install and configure this add-on.

  1. If you have not already done so, install the latest version of Splunk DB Connect to the part of your Splunk Enterprise architecture responsible for data collection from Oracle Database, usually a heavy forwarder. Test basic connectivity to the Oracle Database Server before continuing. Refer to the DB Connect documentation for details.
  2. Install the Splunk Add-on for Oracle Database.
  3. On the part of your Splunk Enterprise architecture that is performing data collection for the add-on, configure your monitor inputs and your DB Connect inputs, following the input configuration instructions for the DB Connect: Configure Splunk DB Connect v3.8.0 inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Oracle Database.
