About writing custom search commands
This documentation has moved and been updated. See Create custom search commands for apps in Splunk Cloud Platform or Splunk Enterprise in the Developer Guide on the Developer Portal.
If you use Splunk Cloud Platform, you do not have file system access to your Splunk deployment. If you want to create custom search commands, contact Professional Services to create the custom search command and then package the command in an app for you to install. See Manage private apps on your Splunk Cloud Platform deployment for more information.
