jQuery Upgrade Readiness

jQuery Upgrade Readiness

Identify affected apps with the Upgrade Readiness App

Plan to upgrade your Splunkbase applications as updated applications become available. Furthermore, plan to update Splunkbase and private applications that you own. The Upgrade Readiness App is a tool that can assist you with your transition to jQuery 3.5.

The Upgrade Readiness App scans your Splunk platform deployment for Python and jQuery vulnerabilities. Even if your deployment passes all checks, however, you must still independently test your private and customized apps and add-ons for incompatibilities. For more information about using the Upgrade Readiness App to check your Splunk platform deployment, see About the Upgrade Readiness App.

For more information about updating dashboards that use lower versions of jQuery, see Manage and update dashboards.

Compatibility with Splunk software

For Splunk Cloud Platform, the Upgrade Readiness App can scan Splunk apps for lower versions of Python installed on Splunk Cloud Platform 8.2.2107 and higher, but jQuery scans are only available for Splunk Cloud 8.2.2109 and higher.

For Splunk Enterprise, the Upgrade Readiness App is available on Splunkbase for Splunk Enterprise version 7.3 and higher.
