Add and edit notes or media to AR workspaces using Splunk AR

You can add text or media notes to your AR workspaces to clearly describe your data.

Prerequisites

Do the following before adding and editing AR workspace notes:

Add a note to an AR workspace

  1. Scan an asset to view an AR workspace.
  2. Select the AR workspace or a visualization.
  3. Tap the + button.
  4. Type the note you want to add.
  5. Tap Save.

Add audio, video, or a PDF to an AR workspace

After an admin sets up file storage using the Filelink app or a public URL, you can add media to AR workspaces in the Splunk AR mobile app.

Steps

After an admin has completed the file storage steps, follow these steps to upload a media note to an AR workspace:

  1. In the Splunk AR app, scan an asset to view an AR workspace.
  2. Select the AR workspace title.
  3. Tap the + button.
  4. Select the type of note or media you want to add.
  5. Select the file method you used to host your media.
  6. Select the media you want to add to the workspace.
  7. Enter a label for the media.
  8. Tap Done. The media note is added to the AR workspace.

Edit a note

  1. Scan an asset to view an AR workspace.
  2. Tap a note.
  3. Tap the pen button to edit the note.
  4. Edit the note.
  5. Tap Save.

Delete a note or media

  1. Scan an asset to view an AR workspace.
  2. Tap a note or media.
  3. Tap the trash button.
  4. Tap Delete.

Reposition and resize a note

Reposition and resize notes the same way you would adjust a visualization. See Adjust AR workspaces and visualizations to learn how to adjust a visualization.
