Release notes for the Content Pack for Third-party APM

Version 1.0.1 of the Content Pack for Third-party APM was released on October 28, 2021. Here's what's new in each version of the Content Pack for Third-party APM.

Version 1.0.1

The following features of version 1.0.1 of the Content Pack for Third-party APM are included in version 1.4.0 of the Splunk App for Content Packs:

New feature or enhancement Description
jQuery upgrade The Content Pack for Third-party APM version 1.0.1, released with Splunk App for Content Packs version 1.4.0, now uses jQuery v3.5.0. The content pack uses jQuery v3.5.0 in the Splunk version 8.2 or higher. This makes the content pack more secure by fixing known cross-site scripting (XSS) related vulnerabilities, as well as vulnerabilities created by object prototype pollution.

Overview Glass Table: Using the Overview glass table you can monitor the combined metrics for Applications Performance services and End-User Experience Services. You can click a metric to navigate to the service in the Service Analyzer to review the KPIs that roll up to the metric in the glass table.
APM_OnlineRetail_Demo Glass Table: The APM_OnlineRetail_Demo glass table was designed with four critical online service KPI's to help you to monitor an online retail application.
