Version 3.18.0 of Splunk DB Connect was released on July 25, 2024.
New and changed features
Version 3.18.0 of Splunk DB Connect contains the following new or changed features:
- Support encrypted format in the connection properties.
- Default connection type for Google BigQuery. It requires downloading and setting up the Simba JDBC Driver.
- Identity as optional. It allows us to create a connection without identity.
- Add enable/disable as a bulk action. Removed create and edit as bulk action.
- Display error details when the task server fails to start.
- Show only input templates associated with the selected connections.
- Add description to the input templates.
- Inputs templates for Snowflake.
- Sort connection types alphabetically.
- Bug fixes in Python logger configuration.
- Documentation update on how to configure a connection to Google BigQuery.
- Documentation update on how to scale DB Connect to support large amounts of inputs.
