Release notes

Version 3.18.0 of Splunk DB Connect was released on July 25, 2024.

New and changed features

Version 3.18.0 of Splunk DB Connect contains the following new or changed features:

  • Support encrypted format in the connection properties.
  • Default connection type for Google BigQuery. It requires downloading and setting up the Simba JDBC Driver.
  • Identity as optional. It allows us to create a connection without identity.
  • Add enable/disable as a bulk action. Removed create and edit as bulk action.
  • Display error details when the task server fails to start.
  • Show only input templates associated with the selected connections.
  • Add description to the input templates.
  • Inputs templates for Snowflake.
  • Sort connection types alphabetically.
  • Bug fixes in Python logger configuration.
  • Documentation update on how to configure a connection to Google BigQuery.
  • Documentation update on how to scale DB Connect to support large amounts of inputs.
