Version 4.0.0 of Splunk DB Connect was released on January 1st, 2025.
New and changed features
Version 4.0.0 of Splunk DB Connect contains the following new or changed features:
- Starting in version 4.0.0, Splunk DB Connect requires Java 17 or higher.
- High availability support for Heavy Forwarders. See Configure High Availability on top of Heavy Forwarders for more information.
- Added support for Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) compliant deployments. See Install and configure Splunk DB Connect to be FIPS compliant to enable FIPS.
- Option to trigger Input and Output manually.
- Telemetry data collection updated, no sensitive data is collected.
- Migration logic has been removed. Please make sure to follow the migration path described in Upgrade and downgrade Splunk DB Connect.
- More options for logging level configuration.
- Support for adding certificates to KeyStore from UI.
- Fixes for HEC configuration in Splunk Cloud Platform.
