Prerequisites

See and complete the steps at Get started with Splunk Edge before powering your device.

Power your Splunk Edge Hub

You can use a USB-C or Power-Over-Ethernet (PoE) cable to power your Splunk Edge Hub.

Use the provided adaptor or a USB-C cable

  1. Plug the 110v-220v 50-60hz adapter into a power outlet. Use regional adaptors as needed.
  2. Plug the other end of the adaptor into the USB-C port on the Hub.

Alternatively, you can use a USB-C cable with a power source that's capable of Power Delivery (USB-PD). Power Delivery can provide up to 60W with a variable voltage up to 20V.

Use a PoE cable

Ensure that your switch is PoE enabled. The Hub was developed according to the standard for PoE 802.3bt (PoE++) and requires 40W.
