What's new for Hunk 6.1

The following features are new for Hunk 6.1.

Pass-through authentication

New pass-through authentication functionality lets you run MapReduce jobs as a different Hunk user. You can give any user created using Hunk native user functionality or LDAP the ability to search some or all of your Hadoop clusters. See "Configure user impersonation."

Hive and Parquet file processing

Hunk now provides interfaces that let you configure Hunk to read, sort, and label data contained in your Hive and Parquet files along with text files, sequence files, Record Columnar Files (RCFile), and Optimized Row Columnar (ORC) files. See "Manage Hive Data" for more information.

Report acceleration

You can now use report acceleration with virtual indexes. See "Manage report acceleration" for more information.
