New features in Splunk IT Service Intelligence

Splunk IT Service Intelligence (ITSI) version 4.14.x has these new and changed features.

Entity Integrations

New feature or enhancement Description
BMC Remedy integration ITSI supports bidirectional integration with BMC Remedy if you have corresponding action rules configured in the aggregation policy. For more information about the integration with ServiceNow, see Integrate ITSI with BMC Remedy in the Event Analytics manual.
Updated vcenter and moid fields The vcenter and moid fields are now classified as Info Fields instead of Aliases for entities associated with the VMware Cluster, VMware Datastore, VMware host and VMware VM entity types, enabling accurate KPI data to display for these entities. As a result of this change, the default entity matching field for the VMware Cluster and VMware Datastore entity types' vital metrics is now itsi_entity_id, and the value for this field is the concatenated value of moid+vcenter.

Dashboards

New feature or enhancement Description
Upgrade Readiness Dashboard enhancement You can now manually refresh the upgrade readiness dashboard with the latest precheck data using the Start new precheck button. For more information, see Manually start a precheck.

ITSI Upgrade

New feature or enhancement Description
ITSI and ITE Work Upgrade Enhancements You can now view detailed information about each upgrade stage using an upgrade progress tracker on the ITSI Upgrade page when upgrading for ITSI 4.14.0 and later. Additionally, you can view logs at each upgrade stage to troubleshoot upgrade failures or provide these logs to Splunk Support.
