What's new in Splunk OVA for VMware Metrics

Version 4.2.1 of the Splunk OVA for VMware Metrics was released on June 21, 2021. Version 4.2.1 of the Splunk OVA for VMware Metrics has the following new features:

New feature	Description
Splunk Add-on for VMware Metrics	The OVA contains packages of Splunk Add-on for VMware Metrics v4.2.1. The Add-on is now updated to use jQuery v3.5.0. The Add-on will use the jQuery v3.5 in the Splunk version 8.2 or higher. This makes the Add-on more secure by fixing known cross-site scripting (XSS) related vulnerabilities as well as vulnerabilities created by object prototype pollution. The below packages that were part of Splunk Add-on for VMware Metrics v4.2.0 or below are going to be published as an individual Splunkbase App in order to make the add-on Self-service installable in cloud environments and will not be part of Splunk Add-on for VMware Metrics package: Splunk_TA_esxilogs Splunk_TA_vcenter SA-VMWIndex-inframon
