Splunk App for PCI Compliance 3.0.0 offers improvements and changes relative to previous versions. It fixes several issues reported with previous versions. See Fixed issues for Splunk App for PCI Compliance for details.

New Features and enhancements

• To improve search efficiency, the searches the app performs use TSIDX stats and/or data model acceleration.
• The app complies with DSS 3.1 standards.
• For customers already using Splunk Enterprise Security 4.0.0, the app employs a new installer.
• The app no longer uses Advanced XML or SideView Utils.
• The dashboards in the app all use Simple XML with minimal JavaScript customizations.
• The app no longer contains written, in-app guidance.
• The new home page of the app is the PCI Compliance Posture.

Compatibility

• Splunk App for PCI Compliance 3.0.0 is compatible with Splunk Enterprise 6.3.x.
• Splunk App for PCI Compliance 3.0.0 is compatible with Splunk Enterprise Security 4.0.0 and later.
