Considerations before upgrading Splunk App for SOAR Export

Read the following important information before upgrading Splunk App for SOAR Export:

• Before upgrading Splunk App for SOAR Export, back up your files from the command line by copying the complete directory $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/phantom to another location that's not under $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps.
• When upgrading to this release of Splunk App for SOAR Export, it is best to upgrade to each intermediate version sequentially. For example, to upgrade from release 4.1.117 to release 4.2.3, first upgrade to release 4.1.135, then to release 4.2.3.

Upgrade Splunk App for SOAR Export

Submit a support request to the Splunk Cloud Platform team with the following two parts:

• upgrade your Splunk App for SOAR Export instance to version 4.2.3
• convert your Splunk App for SOAR Export deployment from Splunk-managed to self-managed
