Log into a Splunk platform instance from your TV using Private Spacebridge
You can host your own instance of Spacebridge and run the end-to-end Connected Experiences pipeline through your own network. This is called Private Spacebridge.
By default, Splunk TV always uses the publicly available Spacebridge when users log in from their devices. If you deploy a Private Spacebridge, users can use it to log their Splunk TV into an instance.
Private Spacebridge only supports the authentication code login method.
Prerequisites
- Download Splunk TV for Android or Fire TV. See Download Splunk TV for Android or Fire TV.
- Set up a Private Spacebridge and know its HTTP URL. See Get started with Private Spacebridge in the Set up Private Spacebridge manual.
Steps
Here's how to log into a Splunk platform instance using Private Spacebridge:
- Launch Splunk TV on your Android or Fire TV.
- Navigate to the Splunk platform instance list.
- Select the Add instance button.
- Select Register using Private Spacebridge.
- Enter the HTTP URL of your Private Spacebridge.
- Enter the provided 10-digit authentication code into Splunk Secure Gateway.
- Your TV logs into an instance using Private Spacebridge.
Splunk platform instances using Private Spacebridge show the name of the Private Spacebridge in the Splunk platform instance list.
