Install and Use the Splunk App for TV

Splunk App for TV has reached its end of life on May 17, 2023. Splunk will no longer develop or provide support for this product. If you have questions, contact mobile-team@splunk.com.

Install the Splunk App for TV

If you're using Splunk Secure Gateway, install the Splunk App for TV to create dashboard groups in the Splunk TV app or to use the Splunk TV Companion iPad app.

To learn more about Splunk Secure Gateway, see About Splunk Secure Gateway.

If you're using Splunk Cloud Gateway, you don't need the Splunk App for TV to create dashboard groups or use the Splunk TV Companion iPad app.

Prerequisites

To use the Splunk App for TV, your Splunk platform must meet the Splunk Secure Gateway requirements. See Splunk Secure Gateway Requirements.

Install the Splunk App for TV from Splunkbase

Install Splunk App for TV on the search head cluster.

  1. Launch Splunk.
  2. Log in.
  3. Download the Splunk App for TV from Splunkbase.
  4. Click the Apps gear icon in Splunk.
  5. Click Install app from file.
  6. Click Choose File and select the downloaded Splunk App for TV file.
  7. Click Upload.
  8. Restart Splunk.
