Fixed problems

3.1 Fixes

  • Stopped receiving perf data for VM's due to a difference in the perf metric counter for the VMs and hosts. (SOLNVMW-3358)
  • "[" character is displayed in the events of /var/log/messages. (SOLNVMW-3323).
  • Noel gauges on the Home page do not display correctly. (SOLNVMW-3319), (SOLNVMW-3267)
In the Splunk App for VMware we used "-100%" on the Noel gauges to represent that data did not load successfully in the App. We now display "No Data" on the relevant gauges.
  • (Bubbles compatibility) Messages are not being displayed on the app top banner. (SOLNVMW-3314)
Splunk App for VMware now displayed messages according to the Bubbles specification.
  • Leaf nodes with insufficient data being treated as parent nodes. (SOLNVMW-3307)
In the Proactive Monitoring view, when looking at the hierarchy tree, labels associated with parent nodes are displayed on the left side of the parent node. Leaf nodes labels are now correctly displayed on the right side of the leaf node.
  • Some tasks on Host detail view have a blank message. (SOLNVMW-3256)
In the Recent Tasks and Events view the message is not displayed for some events. The data is now parsed correctly and the value in the message field is displayed.
  • Saved search to reset bad hosts runs with clear-existing flag. A vCenter can not successfully send syslog data to two different log hosts. (SOLNVMW-3247)
  • An incorrect host list is displayed when the latest host list is not retrieved from the server. (SOLNVMW-3229)
  • If you do not select a host in the host detail page storage and recent tasks information can incorrectly display. In this release the Hierarchy selector now does not allow a user to make an empty selection. (SOLNVMW-3223).
  • In large multi-threaded environments, Syslog initial syslog setup can take time. (SOLNVMW-3219).
  • Collection configuration: Adding a space after a URL displays a password error message. (SOLNVMW-3152), (SOLNVMW-3155)
In the Collection Configuration page you can have leading and training spaces when you enter a URL in the Edit field.
  • If you select a 4 hour time range the labels display custom relative time range. (SOLNVMW-3237), (SOLNVMW-2973)
  • On the Proactive Monitoring > Entity views > Host system detail page, in the Host Configuration and Status panel, an incorrect result is displayed for Hyperthreading for the host. (SOLNVMW-2580)
