Release Notes

On August 31, 2022, the Splunk App for VMware will reach its end of life. After this date, Splunk will no longer maintain or develop this product. The functionality in this app is migrating to a content pack in Data Integrations. Learn about the Content Pack for VMware Dashboards and Reports.
This documentation does not apply to the most recent version of Splunk® App for VMware (Legacy). For documentation on the most recent version, go to the latest release.

Splunk App for VMware 3.4.1 features

Version 3.4.1 of the Splunk App for VMware was released on January 10, 2018.

Upgrade to this release to get all of the latest fixes to the app.

New features

  • admin_all_objects capability has been removed from splunk_vmware_admin role by default. User needs to add admin_all_objects capability to the splunk_vmware_admin role on search head, scheduler and data collection node (DCNs).
