Release Notes

On August 31, 2022, the Splunk App for VMware will reach its end of life. After this date, Splunk will no longer maintain or develop this product. The functionality in this app is migrating to a content pack in Data Integrations. Learn about the Content Pack for VMware Dashboards and Reports.

Splunk App for VMware 4.0.0 features

Version 4.0.0 of the Splunk App for VMware was released on August 31, 2020.

What's New

Version 4.0.0 of Splunk App for VMware provides Python 3 support in Splunk Enterprise 8.0.0 or later. All advanced XML dashboards have been migrated to use React JS.

The acceleration of the data models "VMwareInventory" and "VMwarePerformance" is disabled by default. Enable acceleration for these data models to populate the data on the few dashboards of App. See Enable Data model acceleration and use data models to learn how to enable data model acceleration.
