Install the Splunk AI Assistant

Version 0.3.5 of the Splunk AI Assistant is offered as a Preview Program. This version is only accessible to users registered through the Splunk Voice of the Customer (VOC) portal who meet the Preview Program requirements. Users of previous Splunk AI Assistant versions who meet the Preview Program requirements must re-register on the VOC portal to access version 0.3.5. For details, see Preview Program requirements.

If you are not eligible for this preview, you can try the earlier version of the app. The earlier version enables the translation of plain English to SPL, and SPL to plain English. See Splunk AI Assistant version 0.2.5.

From the Splunk AI Assistant listing under the Available Programs tab on the VOC portal, select Request access. After you register and that registration is reviewed, you can download the Splunk AI Assistant (Cloud Version) app from Splunkbase.

Version 0.3.5 of the Splunk AI Assistant is only available for Splunk Cloud customers in US-East.

Version compatibility

Version 0.3.5 does not require the Python for Scientific Computing (PSC) add-on. Version 0.2.5 or lower of the Splunk AI Assistant does require PSC.

Installing the app

Install the app on search heads only. You can install the app using your browser. You aren't required to download the app using the command line interface (CLI).
