Use Splunk AR

Splunk AR version 3.0.0 and higher requires the Splunk App for AR, a companion web app. To learn more, see About the Splunk App for AR.

Download Splunk AR

Download Splunk AR to associate data with real-world objects and render augmented reality visualizations and Splunk dashboards on your mobile device.

Requirements

Make sure you have the following companion apps and that you're using a supported device and iOS to before downloading the Splunk AR mobile app.

Companion app requirements

Your device must be registered to a Splunk platform instance that has Splunk Secure Gateway and the Splunk App for AR. You can use Splunk Secure Gateway to register your mobile device, and Splunk AR admins can use the Splunk App for AR for managing their Splunk AR deployment.

Hardware and software requirements

The following table contains the minimum hardware and software requirements for Splunk AR:

Component Minimum requirement
iOS version iOS 13.0
Hardware iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, or later

iPad fifth generation (released in 2017), iPad Pro (all sizes)

Some Splunk AR features require certain device models:

  • Remote Collaboration requires a Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) capable iOS device, such as a 2020 iPad pro.
  • Background NFC scanning is only available with the iPhone XR, XS, or XS max.

Download Splunk AR on your device

Download Splunk AR from the App Store.

  1. On your mobile device, launch the App Store.
  2. Search for "Splunk AR."
  3. Tap the Splunk AR app.
  4. Download Splunk AR.

After you download Splunk AR, register your device. See Register or unregister a device with Splunk Secure Gateway to register your device.
