Splunk AR release notes

Splunk AR version 3.5.0 was released on October 18, 2021.

What's new

This version of the Splunk AR mobile app has the following updates:

• Offline tutorial mode. You can now try out Splunk AR before logging into a Splunk Platform instance.
• Spray painting in Remote Collaboration. See Use the spray paint feature in the Use Splunk AR manual to learn more.
• Non-AR workspaces now support text notes, media notes, and playbooks in addition to dashboards.

The Splunk AR mobile app version 3.0.0 and higher requires iOS 13.0 or higher, Splunk Secure Gateway, and the Splunk App for AR. Splunk Secure Gateway lets you register mobile devices. The Splunk App for AR lets you set up and administrate your Splunk AR mobile app deployment.

If you're migrating from Splunk Cloud Gateway to Splunk Secure Gateway, you must have Splunk Cloud Gateway installed when switching to Splunk Secure Gateway and the Splunk App for AR. If you don't have Splunk Cloud Gateway installed when upgrading, you'll lose all assets, asset groups, workspaces, geofences, beacons, and permission settings.
