Get started with Splunk AR for Android

You can scan assets in the real world and view dashboards and augmented reality visualizations.

Requirements and prerequisites

Splunk AR for Android requires the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR, Secure Gateway, and the mobile app file.

• Download Splunk AR for Android from the Google Playstore.
• Install the Splunk App for Edge Hub and AR from Splunkbase at https://splunkbase.splunk.com/app/5180/
• Make sure an admin has agreed to the opt-in notice so that your Splunk platform instance has Splunk Secure Gateway enabled. See Get started with Splunk Secure Gateway.
• Use an Android device with API level 24 or higher.

Splunk AR for Android feature and visualization support

This version of Splunk AR for Android supports the following features and visualizations.

Feature support

Splunk AR for Android supports the following features:

• Register a device
• Scan a QR code to identify an asset and view a dashboard or augmented reality workspace
• Set up a workspace or deployment
• Adjust workspace with touch and hold on the mobile device
• Dashboard tray view
• Text, image, PDF, and video notes
• Mobile Device Management (MDM)

Splunk AR for Android currently supports registering to one Splunk platform instance per app installation. Multiple Splunk platform instance registration is not supported at this time

Visualization support

Splunk AR for Android supports the following dashboard visualizations:

• Single value charts
• Table charts
• Line charts
• Gauge charts
  • Radial
  • Filler
  • Marker

Splunk AR for Android supports basic form input handling.
