Splunk Add-on for Kafka

Installation and configuration overview for the Splunk Add-on for Kafka

The Splunk Add-on for Kafka is deprecated and the functionality of pulling Kafka events using modular inputs is no longer supported. Use Splunk Connect for Kafka to pull Kafka events using modular inputs.

Complete the following steps to install and configure this add-on.

  1. Install the Splunk Add-on for Kafka.
  2. See Inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Kafka and prepare your environment for the inputs you want to use.
  3. Configure the inputs.
    1. Configure monitor inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Kafka.
    2. Configure JMX inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Kafka.
    3. Configure modular inputs for the Splunk Add-on for Kafka.
