Splunk® Supported Add-ons

Splunk Add-on for Okta (Transferred to partners)

Install the Splunk Add-on for Okta

Installation notes for this add-on

In a distributed, on-premises deployment, install the Splunk Add-on for Okta to your search heads and heavy forwarders. This add-on does not need to be installed on indexers.

This add-on does not support universal forwarders or light forwarders because:

  • the add-on requires Python
  • Splunk recommends using the Splunk Web user interface to perform the setup and authentication with Okta

Note: You cannot use a deployment server to deploy the configured add-on to forwarders because the add-on uses modular inputs to collect data remotely. Using a deployment server to deploy configured add-ons to multiple forwarders results in duplicate data collection. You can, however use the deployment server for package deployment. You would then need to perform configuration on each of the forwarders.

Installation walkthrough
